'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League comeback

Kane achieves his century goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has stated that his enthusiasm in coming back to the Premier League has faded and he is prepared to negotiate a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The prolific striker is at the moment midway through the four-year agreement he signed when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the transfer window of 2023.

The 32-year-old forward has netted an outstanding 103 goals in 106 matches for the German team, contributing them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which was the maiden major achievement of his distinguished career.

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has previously stated that he would like to see Kane go back to England, where he needs 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring milestone of 260.

However, the England captain has now indicated that he is no longer as enthusiastic about returning home as he earlier was, and would certainly consider prolonging his time in Bavaria.

"In terms of extending longer, I could certainly see that," he commented.

"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be prepared to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so progresses and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not focusing about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have realized in my career is that different options and different periods happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."

Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the historic top scorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the speediest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five competitions, reaching the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a trophy had escaped him until he secured the German title last season.

Kane admits that he was not sure how he would react after breaking his trophy drought, but now feels it has made him hungry for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.

"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.

"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
